What Do Physiotherapists Do?
At Physioactive you undergo a complete
examination to identify the root cause of your
problem and every patient is then given a
tailored programme of treatment to help abolish
the pain. This may also include an exercise
programme for you to continue at home.
The aim of the treatment is to ensure the
patient recovers as quickly as possible and help
prevent recurrence
We work alongside many Consultants including
Mr Simon H. Palmer FRCS (Tr and Orth), MSc
(Sports Med), FFSEM. Mr Palmer is a Consultant
in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery with a
specialist interest in Sports Injuries.

Physiotherapists excel at giving advice and
information on posture and core stability. They
often give patients alternative movement
strategies in order that the patient can
discontinue bad habits, which may have lead to
the pain in the first place. This empowers the
patient as they become knowledgeable about
their injury and able to self manage. This
ensures the patient is able to prevent further
injury and does not become dependent on the
therapists for a repeated "quick fix".
